【ハース、2026シーズンのタイトルパートナーにTOYOTA GAZOO Racingの就任を発表】
MoneyGram Haas F1 Team(ハース)は、2026年シーズンからTOYOTA GAZOO Racing（TGR）とタイトル・パートナーシップを結び、チーム名を「TGR Haas F1 Team」とすることを発表した。今回の契約は、2024年10月に両者が開始したマルチイヤーの技術提携をさらに発展させるものであり、「People（人材）」「Product（製品）」「Pipeline（基盤とプロセス）」という共通の理念に基づき、ドライバーやエンジニア、メカニックといった人材育成と持続可能なモータースポーツ文化の構築を目指している。TGRは60年以上にわたって世界ラリー選手権や世界耐久選手権などで実績を重ねてきたトヨタ自動車のモータースポーツ部門であり、その経験がF1プロジェクトにも生かされる。
2025年には旧型マシンVF-23を使用したTPC（Testing of Previous Cars）プログラムが14日間にわたって実施され、シルバーストン、ポール・リカール、富士スピードウェイ、イモラ、ムジェロなどでテストが行われた。このプログラムには平川亮、宮田莉朋、坪井翔、そして小林可夢偉などのTGR所属ドライバーが参加し、国際レベルでの走行経験を積んでいる。今回のタイトル契約によって両者の協力関係はさらに深まり、次世代のタレントを世界の舞台へ送り出す体制をより強固にする狙いがある。
また、2026年の新体制に向けて、Haasの新マシン「VF-26」のカラーリングは2026年1月23日にオンライン発表され、1月26日から30日にはスペイン・バルセロナで非公式テスト、続いて2月にはバーレーンで公式テストが予定されている。HaasとTGRは、今回の提携を通じて競争力強化と長期的なモータースポーツ文化の発展を目指す姿勢を強調している。
今回の発表を受けてハースチーム代表の小松礼雄代表は「これまでの私たちの仕事関係は、私たちが望んでいたすべてでした。今シーズンのTPCの成功によって証明されていますが、舞台裏では、2026年のバンバリー施設でのシミュレータの開発と設置など、さらに多くのことが起こっています。Haas F1 TeamとTGRが共同で働く人材の育成は、私たちに大きな利益をもたらし、それは私たちのパートナーシップが成熟するにつれて増すだけです。私たちは、ドライバープログラムのようなものでさらに成長することに興奮しており、TGRがそのプロセスで支援している才能の深さを見るのは励みになります。」とコメントしている。
