2025年も終わろうとしています。今年は「試練」と「総括」の年でした。雪原で冷え冷えする中、過去の「贈り物」を整理整頓していました。2023年の夏、私は渋谷のホテルの2階から落下しました。通り過ぎる人は誰も119番通報も駆け寄りも、声かけもしませんでした。私はむくりと起き上がり歩き出しました。奇跡的に骨髄損傷、内臓破裂などはなく右足の捻挫のみで済みました。父が25年近く前に新橋のTSUTAYAで心筋梗塞で倒れた時も、「救急車を呼んでくれ」と通行人に頼むまで人々は素通りでした。カテーテル手術の末、彼は一命を取り留めました。王侯貴族にも民にも依存せず。それが人生の境地なのです。来年も「試練」の年になるでしょう。それにどんな+αが生まれるかは、未来のお楽しみです。リセッション(世界恐慌)も迫っています。いつも笑っていたいのですが、押さえるところは押さえる必要性が人生に生じてくるでしょう。今年も皆様お疲れ様でした。苦労・痛み・疲れを癒し、新しい年に備えてください。私はどうするのか？通り過ぎる人は誰も119番通報も駆け寄りも、声かけもせずとも、むくりと起き上がり歩き出します。でも、心を痛める人もいるでしょう。その人たちの礎となるため、私の人生の半分はあるのです。もう半分のプライベートは？私だけのお楽しみです。何事も、楽しまなくちゃね。

The year 2025 is drawing to a close. This year was one of trials and reflection. Out on the snowy field, chilled to the bone, I was sorting through the gifts of the past. In the summer of 2023, I fell from the second floor of a hotel in Shibuya. Not a single passerby called 119, rushed over, or even spoke to me. I got up and started walking. Miraculously, I escaped without spinal cord injury or organ rupture, suffering only a sprained right ankle. Nearly 25 years ago, when my father collapsed from a heart attack at the Shinbashi TSUTAYA, people walked right by until he pleaded with a passerby, "Call an ambulance." After catheter surgery, he survived. Neither relying on royalty nor the common folk. That is the state of life. Next year will likely be another year of "trials." What additional challenges it brings will be a future delight. A recession (global depression) also looms. While I always want to smile, life will demand restraint where necessary. Thank you all for your hard work this year. Heal your hardships, pain, and fatigue, and prepare for the new year. What about me? Even if no one passing by calls 119, rushes over, or even speaks a word, I will rise and walk on. But some hearts will ache. Half my life exists to be the foundation for those people. 問題はないと思いますし、西洋市場に無理に合わせる必要はないとも思います。しかし、西洋市場を取るに足らない存在として無視するのも公平ではないと思います。この投稿はあなたの考えや意見を変えるためのものではなく、倭国以外にもコミュニティが存在していることを示すためのものです。今回は西洋市場が十分に代表されていない点に焦点を当てましたが、中国、韓国、タイ、そしてヨーロッパ市場も同様に十分に代表されていません。

倭国はVRChatにおける唯一の市場ではありません。もし私が倭国に住むことになったら、倭国社会に溶け込み、言語を学び、文化を尊重し、倭国人のように生活するでしょう。同じように、倭国人が西洋の国に住むのであれば、私は同じ姿勢を期待します。

私たちは、西洋のプラットフォーム上で倭国のグループが統合を拒み、パズルを設けたり、倭国語を話さないユーザーの入場を制限したりする場面をよく目にします。これらの多くはVRChatの利用規約に反していますが、VRChatは報復を恐れて黙認しているように見えます。倭国のパブリックワールドに入ると、「なぜこのワールドにいるのか」「ここは倭国人専用だ」と倭国語話者に攻撃的に問い詰められることも珍しくありません。

他の民族やコミュニティでは、このようなことはあまり見られず、ほぼ倭国特有の問題のように思えます。多くの韓国人、中国人、タイ人、さらにはアメリカ人でさえ、ある程度の倭国語を理解しています。もし最大規模のゲームワールドが倭国人ユーザーの入場を拒否し、倭国語対応を削除したり、倭国人ユーザーを参加できないようにしたりしたらどうなるでしょうか。きっと、それについて多くの批判的な投稿がネット上にあふれるはずです。

私はこの文章を、寛容さを示すために書いています。あなたの考えを変えるためではありません。VRChatの運営は、西洋ユーザーには与えられていない多くの自由を、倭国人ユーザーには与えているように感じられます。

It’s no problem and I don’t think you should force yourself to cater to a western market. But I also don’t think it’s fair to ignore the western market as something insignificant. This post isnt made to change your mind or opinion but to show communities outside of japan exist. I focused on a western market being under-represented but so is the Chinese, Korean, Thai, and European market.

Japan isn’t the only market on VRChat. I believe if I went to live in japan I would integrate into Japanese society, learning the language, respect the culture, and live like a Japanese person. Similarly if a Japanese people were to live in a western country I would expect the same.

We often see Japanese groups refusing to integrate on a western platform, creating puzzles and barring entry to non-Japanese speaking users. Much of this is against VRChat terms and conditions. VRChat simply turns a blind eye to it due to fear of repercussions. It’s not uncommon to join Japanese public worlds and be attacked by Japanese speaking users asking why are you in this particular world. It’s only for Japanese people.

We don’t see such things happening with other ethnicities or communities and seems to be an exclusively Japanese problem. Many Koreans, Chinese, Thai, and even Americans know some Japanese. Imagine if the largest game worlds refused entry to Japanese users, removed Japanese language support or filtered Japanese users from joining. I’m positive there would be many posts online about this.

I write this message to show tolerance. Not to change your mind. VRChat staff give a lot of freedom to Japanese users that western users don’t receive themselves. December 12, 2025
