【東京マラソンに匹敵する上海マラソンエキスポ】

この週末は上海に行ってきた。上海マラソンに行くのは昨年に続いて2回目（市場調査も含めて）。

ナイキがメインスポンサーの大会ともあって、華やかな雰囲気のエキスポ。現在の倭国のロードレースにナイキがメインスポンサーの大会はないと思うので、ナイキの参加Tシャツと完走Tシャツをゲットできる機会があるだけでも価値のある大会（そしてTシャツのデザインもどちらも良い）。

ナイキブースにはACGの話題のRadical Air Flowの展示があり、あくまでナイキがアジア市場で最も大きな市場が中国であるということを感じさせてくれる。そして、その中心地が、ナイキチャイナがある上海。

シューズ関連でいえば、リーニンの飛電6シリーズのローンチと、サロモンのS/LAB PHANTASM 3のお披露目といったあたり。

足袋のようなアッパーが話題になっているが、トレイル界では有名なOCC2連覇中のヤオミャオ（サロモン契約選手）が今回の上海マラソンでこのS/LAB PHANTASM 3を履いて2時間30分で走っていた。

メインスポンサーのナイキに次いで、豪華なブースを出していたスポーツブランドはアシックス、ブルックス、リーニン、オン、サッカニー、ホカあたり。

エキスポの雰囲気や規模感は東京マラソンに匹敵するものであり、それに加えて中国の大手＋中小メーカーも数多く出展していることを考えると、東京マラソン以上といっても過言ではない。

私の目に止まったのは、この秋に上海にオープンしたばかりのランニングショップ"ektos"のブース。ektosは英国のSOARの中国における正規代理店であり、SOARの創設者であるTim Soar氏が今回来日。エキスポや店頭にてSOARの上海コレクションを展開した（店舗ではSOARの2026SSも一部公開された）。

このektosの母体は、中国における米国のフットロッカー、倭国のatmosのような大手シューズショップであり、そのような大手企業がSOARの正規代理店になるということが、今世界でいわれている"第三次ランニングブーム"を象徴させる出来事の1つに思えた。

SOARのような、いわゆるランニングにおける"プレミアムアパレルブランド"は今のランニングブームにおける、ファッション感度の高い若年層やファッション界隈、クリエイティブなランナーたちから絶大な得ている。

ektosの店舗やブースには、このプレミアムアパレルブランドの商品ばかりが陳列されており、高価格帯の商品を中心に販売するランニングショップの商品が、今の上海やソウル、東京などで飛ぶように売れている現状をうまく反映しているように見てとれた。
