家系図をようやく作り終えた。
入手できる戸籍は全て入手した。
その結果、私の先祖は武士であったことが判明した。
なぜ分かったかというと、倭国の戸籍は庶民は明治以降から作られた。

それに対して、私の先祖の戸籍は江戸時代からあったのだ。
つまり、ここで先祖が庶民ではなく武士階級ということが分かった。
武士は、刀を差していて、敵と戦った人たち、ある意味特権階級の人たちだ。
今の時代から考えるととても不思議な時代だ。
そんな時代に先祖が生きていたとはとてもロマンを感じる。

I finally finished the family tree.
I collected all the family registers I could find.
As a result, I discovered that my oldest ancestor was a samurai.
I know this because the Japanese family register system for common people began after the Meiji era.
In contrast, my ancestor's family register was created during the Edo period.
This means my ancestor was not a commoner but a member of the samurai class.
Samurai wore swords and fought their enemies, making them a privileged class.
Looking at that time from today's perspective, it seems very strange.
The fact that my ancestor lived in such an era fills me with a sense of romance.
