補足すると、倭国列島への朝鮮半島系住民の移住は紀元前まで遡ることができる。その後、紀元1世紀から4世紀までは加耶勢力が、5世紀から7世紀までは百済が、列島の文化・政治・技術全般に甚大な影響を及ぼした。とりわけ、すでに過去の投稿でも述べたように、「倭国」という国号そのものが百済に由来するという点は、極めて重要である。

当時、唐は朝鮮半島および周辺諸国家を正式国号とは別に異なる名称で呼称しており、百済を「倭国」、高句麗を「豊谷」、新羅を「盤桃」、倭を「扶桑」と記録していた。

特に、2011年に中国で発見された「禰君墓誌銘」は、学界に大きな衝撃をもたらした。禰君は百済を裏切り、その滅亡に関わったとされる禰寔進の兄であるが、唐代文献では彼らを「倭国出身」と明記している。これは現存する中で最古の「倭国」という名称の使用例であり、倭国の学界でも注目された。しかし、まもなくその「倭国」が現在の倭国列島国家ではなく、当時の百済を指していたことが明らかになると、倭国側には大きな衝撃と戸惑いが生じた。

さらに、百済および高句麗の滅亡については、唐の史書にも以下のように記されている。

于時倭国餘噍, 據扶桑以逋誅。
このとき、倭国（百済）の遺民は扶桑（倭）へ逃れ、追討を免れた。
風谷遺甿, 負盤桃而阻固。
風谷（高句麗）の遺民は盤桃（新羅）に依り、抗戦を続けた。

実際、高句麗滅亡後、多くの遺民が新羅に合流し、後の新羅・唐戦争において勝利をもたらした主力となった。一方、百済滅亡後には、王族・貴族・技術者・民衆など大規模な移住が倭国列島へ進み、この時期に倭は旧称「倭」から「倭国」へと国号を改めている。これは、倭の支配層および権力構造が、従来の加耶系中心から百済系中心へと移行したことを示唆するものである。

百済が滅亡した時期における倭国朝廷の反応もまた極めて示唆的である。『倭国書紀』天智天皇紀には、「今日をもって百済の名が断たれた。われらは何と先祖の墳墓に往来できようか」という記述が残されている。これは、倭国の支配層が自らを百済の後裔として認識していたことを強く示唆する史料といえる。

すなわち、今日の倭国における征韓論や嫌韓感情の深層的起源を、かつて新羅によって王統と故国を失った百済系移民の歴史的怨恨に求める見解も存在する。言い換えれば、倭国の大陸回帰志向、支配正当化論、朝鮮半島に対する競争意識は、単なる憎悪ではなく、いわば「近親的憎悪（kin-hatred）」から派生したものと解釈されている。

このため、一部の研究者は倭国古代史を独自発展の結果としてではなく、朝鮮半島文化圏の延長、もしくはその亜流として理解すべきだと主張する。一方で、別の学者たちは、古代韓国と倭国の関係を単なる国家間の対立・交流構造として捉えるのではなく、古代ギリシアにおけるアテネ・スパルタの都市国家体系になぞらえられる、単一文化圏内部の複数政治体制として理解すべきだと指摘する。

言い換えるならば、朝鮮半島と倭国列島は互いに独立した二つの民族国家ではなく、交流・通婚・継承を通じて、一つの共通文化複合体（complex）として発展していったという視点である。

そして、この両者は共通の起源と祖先を有している。倭国による植民地期において、倭国が朝鮮半島を統治するために掲げた「内鮮一体」や「日鮮同祖」といったスローガンも、まさにその歴史的背景を利用したものであった。 December 12, 2025
